Animation
General information about Animation
Animation isn’t necessarily cartoons. This field is based upon a wide variety of schemes and tasks.
A major Animation Studio/ Industry are Pixar.
Animation is the continuous display of a sequence of images of 2-D or 3-D artwork or model positions in order to create an illusion of movement.
It is an optical illusion of motion due to the phenomenon of persistence of vision, and can be created and demonstrated in a number of ways. The most common method of presenting animation is as a motion picture or video program, although several other forms of presenting animation also exist.
Common animation can be dated back to almost 5,200 years ago. When cave paintings and other symbols breaking common objects down into story form.
Another early form of animation was invented in China, as a common flipbook. This later became the base of actual films.
Films are a combination of photos or pictures broken up and combined in a numerical fashion. This is the allusion of movement to the human eye. Drawing storyboards and creating models.
Tasks and job descriptions
Designing an animated environment that includes backgrounds, sets and objects
I believe designing characters and plotlines/ stories would be the most enjoyable, because my interests include drawing and writing stories.
Creating each frame seams difficult and very labor based. I don’t consider the patience to compose each individual frame.
Working out the timing of movements and making sure things meet the script and soundtrack requirements
Using computer software, including Flash, Light wave, and many others.
Necessary Skills
Artistic Ability – Creative thinking, understanding design and the ability to draw are the basics of an animation career; you'll need to be familiar with artistic skills.
Storytelling Ability – This includes having a good sense of timing and pacing, and knowing how to get your characters to express themselves in a believable way. As an animator, you'll be responsible for representing characters' emotions; personally understanding your character’s view.
Technical Skill / Software Knowledge –You'll need training in software programs that are common in the industry. In some animation jobs you may also find math and physics helpful, as well as a general knowledge of computer operating systems.
Teamwork – The ability to work well with others. This may involve following or giving direction, working to meet deadlines and communicating clearly and effectively with other team members and clients.
I would be strong with all these basic required fields of experience in animation, accept Technical Skill and Software Knowledge. I don’t have enough training with the components of Technical Animation; especially finding an efficient way to apply physics and math to this operation. In order to proceed with these necessary skills I must evaluate different classes in college or school. The field of animation would be good for me, because its’ average salary is $51,478 this is forty three percent greater than Wisconsin’s average salary. Associating my personal interests Animation would be an enjoyable career to follow through with, because while I’m enjoying it I may also make an efficient sum of money. Overtime Animation career enrolments have increased a consistent amount.
